Screwdrivers
Why does my Classic handle from PB Swiss Tools have an odd odor?
When handles made from modified natural cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) material are stored in airtight containers like drawers or tool cases, they may develop an unpleasant odor. It's important to note that the odor does not affect the material's quality or functionality. To address this issue, we have introduced a subtle vanilla fragrance to our CAB handles, which helps neutralize the odd odor while maintaining the product's high quality and functionality.
Striking Tools
What should I do if I'm unable to remove the plastic inserts from my mallet?
We recommend watching this informative video to learn how to easily replace the polyamide mallet insert. However, if the insert is firmly attached to the mallet to the extent that loosening it may risk damaging the handle, we suggest the following steps:r 1. Use a hacksaw to make a cut into the front of the insert as far as possible. 2. Continue the saw cut on the side of the insert, extending it all the way up to the metal body. 3. If the above step doesn't help, drive a chisel into the saw cut to split the insert into two pieces. This approach should be the last resort when attempting to remove the insert.
What does the term "recoilless" mean and what benefits does it offer to mallets?
Our mallets are "recoilless." This unique feature involves a set of disks inside the mallet body that effectively absorb each mallet strike's impact, preventing recoil. As a result, your work becomes more accurate, enjoyable, and effortless. We recommend selecting the version with replaceable heads if you frequently utilize your mallet for various tasks. We invite you to watch this informative video for more information.
